CHARACTER
NAME: Cedric the Sorcerer
CANON: Sofia the First
CANON POINT: Post-series
BACKGROUND: He's got a Disney Wiki page!
SUITABILITY: Cedric underwent a redemption arc throughout the entire series, so he is no stranger to moral dilemmas. Since he was still struggling with following the right path and winning others' trusts up to the very last season, the dungeon quests in Bottlecap Bay would provide an excellent test of ethics for him. Additionally, he has struggled with working in teams, especially without Sofia, so this would force him to be more cooperative with others while continuing to fester self-confidence even when things aren't fully going his way. This makes him just as likely to become corrupt by potential problematic friendships as he is to inspire someone to do better and choose the path of good.
QUESTIONNAIRE:
POKEMON: Hands down the most fitting Pokémon for Cedric would be a Murkrow. Firstly, he had a raven companion for years who recently betrayed him, so being stuck as a corvid would be very bittersweet for him. Secondly, Murkrow is a bit witchy and spooky compared to other corvids like Rookidee, which fits very well with his role as a sorcerer and a converted villain. Thirdly, Murkrow are attracted to shiny objects, and Cedric was pursuing a precious amulet for a large chunk of his canon. Finally, they're notorious for representing misfortune, which perfectly encapsulates Cedric's formerly-assumed role as a "bungler" by everyone around him until he redeemed himself.
Aside from giving the man pathos over his lost friendship, being a Murkrow would give Cedric plenty of opportunities to learn skills outside of magic, as the moveset ranges from emotion-based attacks to support-heavy status influences. These would serve just as much a challenge as they would a confidence-booster.
GUILD OPT-OUT: The Lum Berry Guild is the obvious choice since Cedric's profession lies in studying magic and collecting ingredients for potion-making. Therefore, he would make an excellent info-gatherer and could easily be in charge of records and archives.
However, I am not averse to putting this man out of his comfort zone, so if the mods want to give him something more difficult, I'd happily work with either Oran or Cheri. Out of the two, Oran would definitely be the hardest for him as he's more reactive than proactive when it comes to combat and therefore would struggle with training others. No matter the guild, he's most certainly going to collect items like berries and gems.

QUESTIONNAIRE:
⟡ Your character is on an exploration quest when they find an injured Pokemon in need of help. This Pokemon appears to be in distress and is quite dangerous, posing a risk to your character even if they mean well, and putting your quest mission at risk. What do they do? What are some possibilities of how they work with teammates to address this, or do they go at it alone?
This is an excellent question because from his canon point back home, Cedric would go in attempting to help with anyone willing to assist. However, here he lacks his magic, so his confidence in being able to handle such a situation is all kerflooey. Does he still want to help? Yes, of course. But does he know how? Not right away, and when he doesn't immediately know what to do he's liable to panic and/or freeze up. The good thing for him is that if a teammate suggests something they can do, he would listen if only because he has no ideas, and piggybacking almost always gets him out of his paralysis so he can be useful once again.
⟡ Your character's worst enemy has recently appeared in game, and has joined the guild your character is part of. They both want to tackle the same quest, and your character's enemy suggests that they work together as a team to accomplish this goal. How does your character respond to this?
Not very well, at least initially. Many of the villains he's fought are very hard to trust under most circumstances and he knows this; that being said, if their goal is the same, then he would prioritize the quest over their previous history so long as the sentiment is mutual. However, the more personal the enemy is, the less likely he is to react rationally; for instance, despite his former pet raven Wormwood being less dangerous than other villains in the show, Cedric has been hurt so much by his betrayal that it'd definitely impair his ability to think clearly during such a quest.
⟡ The leader of your character's guild has just approached your character with an offer: they will provide your character with extra supplies, reputation points, and help them with any of their current struggles. In exchange, they ask for your character to do a favor for them that may harm the other guilds, and will not specify what the favor is in advance. It sounds shady, but it's the deal of a lifetime in your character's path to get back home, and refusing it may cause strife for your character within their current guild. What do they think of this offer? What do they ultimately decide to do?
He has been lured in by such an offer before - it promised him social rankings among fellow sorcerers, a powerful gem, and the chance to take over his boss' kingdom, which he had longed for since the beginning of the show. At the time he took it, successfully took over... but then regretted it almost immediately, since he didn't take into account how much his friendship with an eleven-year-old girl had changed him for the better. As a result, he rescinded the offer and helped the royal family win the kingdom back, because being good and having true friends meant more to him than winning approval. Therefore, he wouldn't trust such an offer as far as he can throw it, and, much like he had to back home, would rather grin and bear the strife from fellow guild members than harm other guilds, especially when he doesn't really know what the "favour" is in the first place.
⟡ Due to shortages on supplies, the city is facing issues deciding where to cut corners during this rough time. Somehow, the responsibility has fallen on your character's shoulders, and they have to make a decision. If they send out an extra team of Pokemon, they will be able to gather more food, and through that, save the lives of dozens of starving Pokemon that were in dire need of nutrition. However, the only Pokemon available to scout for food are those working at the pokeclinic, and sending them out would mean certain death for at least two ill patients. What does your character decide to do? How do they feel about this choice, and how would they deal with the pushback that comes from either side?
First of all, he's judging what crazy git decided he needs to figure this out. Second of all, he would probably send out the team for food gathering since it ultimately means more Pokémon survive - unless one of the patients in the clinic is someone he knows personally, in which case he might be more likely to not send them out. Whichever decision he makes, he would hate it and try desperately to fill in the gaps by volunteering himself to either mind the clinic or scout; it's only fair since he's the one making such an important decision in the first place, for some reason. How would he deal with the pushback? Defensively, as in he would justify his decision but probably wouldn't react well to the criticism since it would make him feel worse. No matter the outcome, he would need time to fully get over the whole thing.
